Eldorado

Eldorado is my favorite Electric Orchestra album! as the song title says "I Can't Get it Out of My Head!" The classic album cover photo crys, out The Wizard Of OZ. Enough said!

Delivery was as promised.I’ll be looking for other LPs from this vendor.ELO is epic!Listen closely to Bev Bevan’s work.Very underrated drummer!

I've been running through E.L.O.'s discography in a haphazard order, and I finally hit this one. The one that finally broke them big (in America at least). And this album is...how do I put it?Let me put it this way: I've been a big fan of E.L.O. ever since I was a kid, but I always struggled to point to which album of theirs' was my favorite. There was always at least 2 or 3 songs on each of their albums I didn't vibe with. This album fixed that problem. It's perfect. Even the bonus tracks are perfect. This album tells the story of an individual who slips between their mundane reality and fantasy worlds so wonderfully that I don't want to give anything more away than that.If you've never given E.L.O. a shot before, buy this album. And if you have listened to E.L.O. before and haven't heard this album before...well, what are you reading this for!? Listen to it! I promise you won't regret.

Okay like other reviews my CD arrived with a cracked case. I figure these CD's are like the old cut out albums. The seller got a deal on them and he is passing it along to the buyer (these are a good buy). The CD was fine. I had a empty CD case. Moved all the CD's artwork over to the new case. The sound quality is excellent. While I will probably buy the remastered version of this album when it is released I am enjoying this one now. If you are a fan of ELO buy this CD!!!

I've owned this album since I bought my vinyl copy back in the 1970's. Sure, it's rather bombastic at times but there's really nothing else out there like it, and I've found it much easier to just sit back and enjoy than to nitpick. The problem is that I also own the album on CD (the version before this one) and I must say that I'm a bit disappointed in the "remastered" version. I have good headphones (Steinheiser) and some good stereo equipment, and I believe I can hear an improvement, but the sound quality made me feel like I bought this album for the third time for just a marginal improvement in sound quality.Oh year, there's the bonus track medley, which is rather nice to listen to, but I think the bonus track area could have been done better too. Isn't there more stuff out there from the recording sessions for this album? All the ELO albums through "A New World Record" have been released in the last few years again as remasters, and this one to me has been the most dissappointing.

From 1974-1977, The Electric Light Orchestra released a powerhouse quartet of albums that consistently offered some of the finest musicianship of any pop group before or since. One incredible masterpiece followed the last: "Eldorado", "Face the Music", "A New World Record" and "Out of the Blue". All of them collectively defined an era.The first of these, "Eldorado", released in the fall of '74, is an exquisite work of pure, imaginative genius by ELO's driving force, Jeff Lynne. It stands as one of the most brilliantly ambitious concept albums ever conceived, about a dreamer who, alas, must awaken to real life, but yearns for the elusive enchantment of his dreamworld. From the hauntingly beautiful "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", to the heartbreaking longing of the title track, each song - regardless of how diverse in style - blends seamlessly into the next, taking the listener on a sonic roller coaster ride that stirs the emotions like no other album.Lose yourself in the sublime sounds of "Eldorado" and experience the greatest orchestral rock symphony of all time.

A classic, "can't move, it's an ebb tide" and "I can't get it out of my head" is how I feel listening to it! :) Whew...one of my all time faborite albums, but done in great CD quality. Thank you so much for re-releasing it! Instantly took me back to my old college days in 1974 and 1975 and made me thankful to still be here listening to it now in 2022. Seems even more powerful today, even listening to it through beat up headphones. It's a classic, not because it was ELO's first, but because it it one of the all time best ablums! Endorphinated eyes of thankfulness. "Hey, boy blue is back! :)

Great album from ELO, after decades of wanting this album I finally bought it on cd years and years ago. Unfortunately I lost the cd... and bought it again, which is cool, cus now there are bonus tracks (although the one is only .45 seconds long, the instrumental medley is nice)! Viola!Be aware that if you are purchasing this at a super discounted price, the case is probably cracked. Thus was the case with the one I received and a few other cds at this discounted price. Even the replacements were all cracked. I have no problem with getting a cheap cd due to a cracked case,... but Amazon or the seller should note this so that people can decide for themselves if they want to purchase a defective item or not. Disappointed with Amazon on this...(what good is a replacement if it is in exactly the same condition?), not the album itself.

Not a huge fan back in the day but like fine wine, this artist improves with age without boundaries or going stale. I had this on vinyl mid-70's, some arguing its his best, others claiming Out of the Blue better, but really, depends on which you had first, where you were, with whom, in what state of mind..... For me, its Eldorado. Not a bad track on it and less commecial than ELO's other works.

Bonjour 👋. J’ai bien aimé l’enchaînements au début du cd et puis il y en a 2 que je n’avais pas. Merci
