The World of the Witcher: Video Game Compendium

Simply amazing. I brought this book when I brought Witcher 3 so I could learn more about the world of the game series and thus be more clued in once I started playing the game. Upon receiving and reading the book I was amazed by how thick the book is and how in-depth the book goes into every aspect of the witcher world, from detailed sections of world politics through time, the monsters to be found in game and a general history of the world, my favorite section being the section solely dedicated to the Witcher's and Witcher schools themselves. I must say that the book is amazingly well-written, with each section written from the point of view of individual characters in the game series, all this is accompanied by some of the most beautiful game art and design I've ever anywhere, period. Overall for anyone who has read the books and played the games or wants to start like I did, this book is a must have and I couldn't recommend it anymore.

Love the Witcher 3, Love the lore, Love CDPR, Unsure of author's personality

Excellent, well made, glossy pages, in depth guide to the witcher world. Possible gripes to consider: -> The actual binding is exposed on some of the pages (i.e. the little white string going up the middle of the spine). Not a problem for me, but it should encourage caution when turning the pages. -> The writing is usually good quality - it takes the form of characters writing the material, e.g. Dandelion narrates, Geralt does a section on the beasts, etc. It can, however, be a little forced sometimes, opting for the verbose, sometimes needlessly. Plus, there are some OBVIOUS moments of social commentary here + there, which isn't a problem, but it did make me roll my eyes once or twice. APART FROM THAT - this is a BRILLIANT piece of Witcher merchandise. Do note that from page 145 onwards you get into major spoiler territory for ALL the games (Witcher 3 included), so tread carefully. But rarely do you get such sweet fan service as this.

The book is only about the world of the Witcher, nothing to do with the Withcer 3 Game, doesn't cover the Game at all, quests or spec tree, nothing. Perhaps I didn't check properly the book's description. If you want a Story bok about the beings, monsters and the people who live in it go for it. It's the best you can get! AMAZING drawings, pictures and really great story! I enjoy reading it, however It would be nice if it would contain a little guidance for the Witcher 3 as well specifically. Again I love the BOOK, I'm just advising you to be aware of what you are ordering. :-)

This is not exactly an art book of the witcher 3 game. It's more an art and information book of the witcher universe which is super interesting and beautiful. The art is great, the information is superb. Even if you've read the books and played all the games, you just cant go wrong with this book.

A well-produced book that opens up the world of Witcher. The only downside is that there's no index at the back, which can make finding details about certain characters or creatures a pain.

The artwork and Lore in this game are in another world. I have had a few Artbooks and lore guides about game worlds in my time but the Witcher universe is by far the most compelling and riveting. In depth histories of the world told by first hand accounts of the characters from the game. Interesting and informative bestiary of the flora and fauna packed with Biographical accounts of the main characters from the perspective of other characters. beautiful a4 sized, 184 paged hardback book is packed with interesting tidbits of information. All this is game friendly, it is not a walk through so it will not spoil any interesting parts of the game.

This is a great addition to the collection for Witcher fans. The drawings and images are brilliant, with great details. The glossy finish to the pages adds to the quality of the book.

If you're like me you would appreciate everything related to the witcher universe. For me Playing the witcher 3 was a experience of a lifetime. I get the same experience by reading this book and I love every bit of it. Note that this book is based on the games and not the book series. Book is great in itself with lots of illustration to immerse you into the world and the overall quality is worth the price. Thanks.

The book was wrapped in plastic. I was surprised when I saw it. This is the first book I received from Amazon with plastic wrapping. I was surprised and happy.

Beautiful written compendium and a must buy for real witcher fan.

Thank you so much cd project red for an amazing story😍
