My wife has wanted a set of China/fine dinnerware for a long time. With the purchase of our new home last year, I felt the recent holiday season would be the perfect time to splurge on a good dinnerware set. What I found was a set from a reputable brand, with a quality I believe to be approaching fine China that usually costs at least 5x what I paid. I originally had my eyes on another brand/design with a princess lace border and silver inlay, for roughly 3x the cost. But when I stumbled upon the Lorren Iris series, I was sold! The Iris Collection has a design more reminiscent of Celtic knot/Nordic vine trim work. The combination of cobalt and gold leaf overlay provides a robust brilliance that not only makes the Iris Collection stand out uniquely from other traditional and contemporary fine dinnerwares, but it also represents the Irish portion of our family heritage. The overlays aren't as robust as more expensive dinnerware, so hand washing is a must, even though the product boasts to be dishwasher safe. Take care of it and be gentle, and I believe you will get may years of enjoyment from this dinnerware!

I bought 2 sets via amazon warehouse so really good price, and because of this I did not mind the slight defects on print. For sure would NOT pay full price for this. I was able to buy 2 sets for price of one, so I was able to make a full set with NO defects and leave put the defected ones and just have them as back up in case something gets broken in future. I do love the simple minimal print, that is hard to find. Also, the cups are super small in between a regular size coffee cup and expresso cup, I will end up using them as my cappuccino cup or tea cups. Then the coffee / tea holder I will use as gravy holder during holidays. Also, Amazon gave me an extra 10% off because they listed item on ware house as no original box and one lid missing, since I found some defects in print that they did not list but found because it was mentioned in past reviews. So over all happy with my first Amazon WAREHOUSE purchase and of course I could return it if for sure was not happy with it.

The dinnerware set arrived on time but the Amazon delivery employee was about to throw the box over the fence into the yard out in the open. This employee had thrown my other ordered packages into the yard the same way. Despite my "specific" instructions on where to place packages, this Amazon delivery employee disregarded those instructions and put my packages at risk of being damaged and stolen. I called Amazon customer service and I was told that the matter would be escalated ina feedback complaint. Big whoop.... Good thing that none of my purchased items were damaged nor stolen. This set is really nice but we noticed a lot of imperfections in the art, alignment and a few dings. The set also smelled bad like it had been sitting in the warehouse for many years or it was used and the returned not washed properly. Perhaps we will use this set for show and buy amore expensive set to use for ourselves and guests.

it is very beautiful and it looks very delicate. gorgeous. the cups hold 4oz and a tad more than 5oz if full to the brim. it is not translucent so it is not the finest of china but since it says it is dishwasher safe it is obvious it has to be tougher. the border does feel rougher like etched glass but i dont know if this is a good or bad sign in terms of quality. it is a great sign in terms of looks and feel though. i am not using the dishwasher on them. i dont want to get surprises or dissapointments. i usually do place the china and fine utensils in my dishwasher after a meal and run it without dishwasher detergent. i use the regular or the pots and pan cycle and then later i wash them by hand. in that way the food acids does not stain or damage them and i dont have to hurry and leave my guests. it is the dishwasher detertgent that is abrasive and alkaline, doing must of the damage, when you run the dishwasher. without it, it is just a strong water rinse.update: careful when placing in dishwasher. if they bang against each other they could chip. usually place a smaller plate between the bigger plates.

I received my dinner ware set and there is a paper saying if anything is broken contact manufacturer. I had 5 broken pieces and called I got an answering machine with a full mailbox. It was on a Friday and I kept thinking the worst. I called Monday morning and got a very helpful and friendly lady on the phone and received the replacements in 2 days. I would highly recommend this seller due to quality products and excellent customer service!

I got this because I don’t have entertaining dinnerware and needed something for Christmas that would suit more than my household of 4. This is a very pretty set, I love that it has cereal bowls and soup bowls (and you can change up the purpose of a piece to suit your meal, maybe you want a small soup bowl and a larger salad bowl instead of a salad plate and you want a dessert plate for later…). One thing I wish this had is a gravy boat, which I had to purchase separately.

As seen in the pics, almost all of the plates have scratches and design printing defects. Don't waste your money on this brand!
