Do you need to Register the boat?

yes, the boat get to registered in USA. but Canada regulation is only boat with 10HP and up.

I have a thin aluminum transom. Should the plywood spacer go on the inside or the outside of that boat?

Both are work but usually I suggest inside. but if your boat transom also had a 1/4 edge staying outside, then you get to place this spacer outside of transom. so the bracket can be pushed out. a little bit. at this point the Deluxe boat wheel set will work better. usually we suggest the Seamax deluxe model when the boat getting special. thanks.

Does the curved part of the wheel stand go under the boat or do they curve away from the boat?

Very well made

I don't usually bother writing reviews, but i wanted to this time as this is one well made product. it is real stainless steel, NOT stainless coated regular steel. Comes with everything you need to install (well except the marine adhesive), and works as advertised. The clips are beefy that mount the wheels to the boat, and the mounts for the boat are thick too. Very happy with them

Practice putting wheels on and off while in water.

Works great....be careful putting on and taking off....easy to nick your fingers. Practice makes perfect however bring some bandages when using for the first time.
