Having clocked up almost 40 years in the business, the man born Prince Rogers Nelson has had one of the most extraordinary careers in music, built up one of the most eclectic and joyous bodies of work and achieved the highest levels of professionalism on just about every instrument he has seen fit to try his hand at. To call this individual a musical genius would be an understatement of near criminal proportions. This two DVD set celebrates the extraordinary journey Prince has taken as it documents his career in two separate films. The first covers Prince in the 1980s, the decade that he ruled the world and changed the face of music forever. The second programme is made up exclusively of filmed interviews with the man himself, going right back to his early career and coming right up to date, during which he discusses all manner of topics, his life and his music. Completed elegantly in a limited edition box set, this package is all set to become a Prince collectable of the first order. Review: Moving and Inspiring interviews and comments - I had never seen before the material presented in this 2-DVD set. The first DVD contains commentary by engineers, and other people that have worked with him. I was particularly moved by the candid comment by one man (I don't recall his name right now) about what the song Purple Rain meant to him. Also, there's an interactive quiz. It was so much fun to quiz myself how much do I know about Prince's music. The second DVD has eight interviews with Prince by Tavis Smiley, Carson Daly and international interviewers. I liked Prince's warmth, humor, and wisdom. Review: 2 DVDs that are great, especially for Prince fans - 2 DVDs that are great, especially for Prince fans. I really LOVE the one "In his own words". The interviews are just great!

Excellent!!
This item is NOT affiliated with Prince in ANY way.. it is however a great collection of interviews and such that I might not have otherwise ever seen. If you are a Prince fan, this is a MUST HAVE. I was also thrilled with the service, as this arrived at my door super fast!

Well worth it just for just the prince in his own words DVD
The content is 2 DVDs. The first is what others have said of him [Prince the glory years]. Participants rave his collection of songs. However to hear Prince in his own words from various interviews post Warner bros, is a treasure. Especially the interviews between him and Tavis smiley. Enjoy
