I am not a BSer. The product is excellent. I am an avid angler and I know my equipment. In fact, I dont do reviews except on fishing equipment. Worth every penny. I will actually being a couple rods in different colors. The rod has backbone as well. Follow up: Just got back in front great fishing in Catalina Island. The pole held up really well. Based on other reviews I was concerned about the rod tip breaking, However, throwing 1 to 1 1/2 ounce swim baits was perfect. I went with 10 pound braid with a floro carbon leader. Of course I was using a Lews reel. So, perhaps medium to medium heavy type fishing may cause problems? But with an ultra light to light real setup the rod perform excellent! I will continue to follow up with this product as I use it. If it continues to perform well I will by another set! Stay posted....

Used this rod for almost 6 years and absolutely no complaints have caught plenty of 6+ pound fish with no issue and finally after almost 6 years the rod tip finnaly started to Frey apart and when I caught a fish it snapped off I will be buying the same one again and so should no absolutely no complaints what so ever about this rod

I got this pole specifically for a short trip to North Carolina. I wanted a setup that i could throw in my carry on bag. After reading probably way too many reviews, i settled on this one mainly for the price point. I figured this rod probably would not last too long, but could work for a fun 3day trip. Combined this rod with the smallest 20$ 1000 spinning reel i could find, some #10 braided line i had already lying around, and a SMALL box of tackle. I could literally fit it all in my jacket pockets. I got the shortest rod they offered, i think it was a 5 foot 9 inch, medium. The rod is light weight, but a bit heavier than my 7foot casting rod. The reel seat is actually rather strong feeling and looks cool (my favorite part of the whole thing). The rod held up pulling in small bass and sunfish, but i did not get anything over 2lb. Im not sure how well it will hold up to 5+lb. or a heavy fighting species. The telescopic functioned with out any issues, the sections stayed out while fighting the fish and casting, they retracted fairly easily when packing it up. The tip section is much more flexible than i would have liked from a medium weight rod, but it did help in feeling the dinks biting. I was having little issues throwing out 1/32 oz lures. Retrieval felt fine. The eyes are not that strong, and i could see them failing it hit on trees or the ground too often. Overall i would say im happy with this purchase, this is DEFINITELY not my go to rod, and will probably only really be used in situations where i have to run minimal. But for such a low price point, and so far the durability seems substantial enough, this was a great purchase. With all that said, i would probably never buy another one again, i would buy a much higher end one for more regular use. But if you are looking for a fishing rod you can shove in your backpack for a short trip, backpacking, camping, or if you are incredibly new at fishing and want something cheap to just play with, i would definitely suggest this rod. If you are like me and fish 3+ times a week, you probably want something a bit better. Also just in case you were thinking this, no this rod would not be good in salt water. Please dont buy this if you plan on surf or ocean fishing at all. I guarantee you will face several issues with oxidation or rust. This is great for small lakes and rivers, think smaller and you will not be disappointed. Good luck, and tight lines.

Got this for my brother and he loves it! It works well with a 4000 reel and some braided line. Caught a bunch of cat fish on it between 1-6 pounds. Still kicking after a year of use with no issues

Quite impressive, easy to collapse and carry around between spots. Casts very forcefully, but can be a little inaccurate. It feels a bit weighty, compared to other rods, which may reduce sensitivity, but great for bobber fishers. One note: if (like me) you happen to fall while trying to free a stuck jig, the added force can jam a segment into place, making it quite challenging to free up and re-collapse.

I've bought a few telescopic poles and very happy with this one. Taking time to write this review because this product deserves it. Most telescopic poles are cheap, this one is very durable. The reel attachment is made from aluminum and the pole is stiff. This thing folds up and fits in my backpack. I only allow 1 pole per person on my boat but if you brought this I'll let it slide because it's so compact. I've waited almost a year to review it because I wanted to put it to the test. Caught a few trout with it, then I landed a 30" bullred in Lafitte, LA. the pole did not fail me. Consider buying this pole, it is worth it. It is a bit stiff for when you try to pop your cork but that's because it's strong. I let the bullred bend the pole hard to test it's durability.

We put spinning reels on 4 of these poles. The "nuts" will not hold the reel. You cannot tighten enough, if you try they strip out. We finally used black electrical tape. This seems to work. We went fishing with them. They cast fine, have as good play in them as a regular pole and are easy to retract for storage. Plastic pieces for tips (to hold in place when collapsed) do not have the best holding devise, piece of plastic over a plastic tit. Do not think this will last long and will have to figure something else out to hold pole in the retracted position.

Rod is fine and works well but it took a week longer to arrive than originally advertised and when it did arrive it wasn't the colour I ordered, this was extremely annoying. As it took longer to arrive than advertised I simply don't have the time to return it for the correct colour as it is needed this coming weekend. Very very disappointed.

The reel seat doesn't lock the reel properly , you need to fit a piece of cupboard underneath for it to lock the reel securely.

Length, weight was great. After using about 10 times, snapped and broke from the second extension rod when the hook snagged to the ocean floor. Recommend others to simply cut the line and give up retrieving any equipment attached to the line. Was using a light 8lbs line and thought the rod will cut it before breaking on me.
