I have taken organic chemistry I twice now (this second time with luck). This model kit is perfect for classes, tests, and solo time studying. I think it actually does help to get an awreness of stereochemistry by playing with this kit and using the different color coded "balls" as atoms. This kit is what professors have reccomended. If anything they're good fidget toys.

This model kit is literally the only thing getting me through organic chemistry right now. I'm not a chem person, but these make it so much easier to understand how the molecules look in a 3D space and why they work the way they do. The quality is great, super easy to take apart and put back together. All in all, a great buy if you're on the struggle bus like I am!

Fantastic learning aid for my older children. I had one as a kid in class and always wished I had one at home to practice with, as I'm a visual learner. I look forward to some interesting homework and a little bit of playing with it myself to brush up on defunct chemistry skills. The pieces all appear to be sturdy and well made, and I hope to use it for years to come.

So far in the class we are memorizing various molecular geometries, shapes, and functional groups. But 8 Oxygens seems to be too few to build multiple models and not run out. I realize that multiple kits from various sellers sold on Amazon are similar (8 Oxygen atoms), and this is a big shortfall for me. Another peeve that i didn't realize that this kit comes with too few mid-size white single bonds. There are a lot of long grey double bonds, and super short white bonds. I am a huge hands-on learner, so details like these matter when there is a ton of material to memorize. I hope that you find my observations helpful.

I bought this for my daughter who is taking a class at university - I was thrilled I could have it shipped right to her. I bought this modeling kit as a gift for my son on his 9th birthday. He developed an interest in chemistry and the kit allows him to visualize the molecules he is learning about. The kit has withstood his use, and I look forward to supplementing his kit when the time comes.

It's good but we cannot make boat or chair like 3-D structures with this one.

I love this kit!! It’s simple enough that my younger kids can use it, but it has enough pieces that my high schooler can make more complex molecules. I would recommend this for quality, price, and ease of use!
