Your "rubber ducky" will be jealous.
I search for distress beacons. The flexible antenna that comes with your radio or scanner takes both training and practice to use for that task. Lots of it. A fox hunting loop like this shortens the learning curve. Especially once you have narrowed your search, because it sharpens direction-finding angles. The great thing about this 'loop is that the same manufacturer also makes an attenuator for it, allowing you to zero-in on the beacon in question. The loop twists onto the same connector as your flexible antenna mounts to.
