Good for indoor use.
They work well for my use. I wouldn't use them on a vehicle because the magnet isn't very strong. I put them on the top of the refrigerators for better indoor reception with my handhelds.

Weak magnet, but decent antenna
As other reviews have pointed out, the magnet is very weak. It will not last long on the roof of your car. I was able to get up to about 70mph before I heard a clunk and it started rattling around. I was doing a test, so I was prepared to pull over and take it off, but I would not count on it for any sort of mobile unit. That said, from an RF perspective, it's not bad. I was able to get 1:1.5 VSWR or lower on the ham bands through GMRS (about 440 to 470MHz). It even has a notch around the 2 meter band, maybe 1:1.7 or .8, but still usable. It really depends on the ground plane. Go to the dollar store and buy yourself a couple of baking sheets or pie tins, stick this on there, and put it on the top shelf of your closet or somewhere high up. You'd have a perfectly serviceable antenna if you live in an apartment or something. Look, you're not going to talk to the moon with this antenna, and you don't want it on your car, but if you're looking for a cheap antenna to play with at home, maybe you're just starting out with radios, there's nothing wrong with trying this one out for the price point. Get a better antenna later on, but if you're expectations are right, it's really not that bad. But seriously, go to Dollar Tree and buy a pie tin. That's all you need to make this work.

Works well with good SWR.
The first thing I did was hook it up to an antenna analyzer. I was pleasantly surprised at the bandwidth and SWR. Well within specs. This is NOT designed for permanent use and the mag mount won't hold up beyond 65 mph. I learned that the hard way ha ha. I did not test for power loss as it uses RG174 and power loss is to be expected. Works fine for me with a cheap HT, but will likely not hold up to much abuse. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Bonus, you get two of them for the price. Good value.

Not a good Antenna
I was replacing a similar antenna that had damage to the cable. I thought these looked similar so I ordered this two-pack. I should have heeded the prior reviews about the magnets on these units, as after sticking one on the car, I barely bumped it with my finger and it fell over. They will not stay up even on city driving, much less highway. Also the range from my Ham HT did as well with it's rubber duck antenna, when standing by the car as these did stuck to a taller object. For me this was a total waste of money.

Works ok but has limitations
Nano VNA H4 showed sub 1.5 SWR with both antennas. I mounted one on the trunk of my sedan. Yes the magnet is weak for auto applications but I added 3M VHB adhesive tape and it’s held on tight at 70+mph in hot weather. The cable is short but that’s ok for the coax size used. Reception is decent for price point. Update 7/31/25 The VHB tape worked too well and now the base bottom has come off of the antenna. I was trying to gently peel the antenna off the trunk lid to reposition and this happened. I’m not nearly as impressed with the design now. At least I have one left to use. Here’s a pic of inside the base

Good on ham radio hotspot
These increased the coverage of my DMR/D-Star hotspot so I get good signal in my yard and walking on my street. Easy install, still indoors so no HOA issues. AA2CO

Good for what it is
This works just fine for my application. The base seems smaller than I expected and although the magnet doesn't seem very strong, it stayed on my truck up to at least 85mph. I am receiving all of the frequencies I expected to with this antenna.

The magnetic sucks not very strong
Nice antenna but the magnetic doesn’t stay on top of my truck very well once I hit 45-50mph it fly off and hang at my back window. So I am removing it from my truck
