Perfect for those “winter/holiday hello’s”!
If you’re thinking of coloring winter cards/Christmas card/holiday cards and you like the art of Hanna Karlzon (which is I think any colorist would say she’s one of the best) These are just perfect and they are on the same paper as her books there a postcard sized and won’t take too long to do or tackle because we’re all busy people and we love to color if you’re a colorist & live to color but you also don’t want to be stuck on one card for three days just to get it out to your friends and family these are terrific I recommend them 1 million times over buy these buy them by the set! you won’t feel bad you’ll feel like yaaay! Easy peasy! I opened it looks wonderful feels great in her heavy cardstock immediately took out my colored pencils (this paper is thick it will take a lot of different mediums and if you’re going to use marker - the images ARE SINGKE SIDED - because they have the place to write Notes and address on the back please check to make sure that your markers don’t bleed through Unless you’re going to keep them for yourself then just go to town ! I’m fairly sure that in India ink pen or a Faber Castell Pitt artist pen or Poscas will be great but I haven’t tested them here but use them in her books all the time ) I’m just using colored pencil right now I plan on doing a wash of watercolor because I know her paper but always test your mediums and get these you won’t regret it and I’ll show you my WIP - Just using right now Caran D’ache Luminance pencil - 5 minutes 👍

Fun to color, unique for Christmas
These are beautiful and easy to color designs. I colored postcards last year for Christmas and so many of the recipients complimented the cards. I'll never go back to the traditional style of cards!

Another hit!
Gorgeous artwork and small enough to be able to finish a drawing in a short length of time (your results may vary!). The paper is a nice, thick off-white cardstock that takes my Prismacolors well, and blends easily using odorless mineral spirits without any damage to the paper. I always look forward to any of Hannah Karlzon's new work. These postcards are really not intended to be used with watercolors, but I did try using Inktense pencils activated with a Tombow colorless blender, and they worked well for smaller areas. I did find that the paper would "pill" if I tried to work an area too long. I also found that the paper would buckle if gotten too wet, but would flatten again when completely when dry. I would not try to use them for a larger background area.

4.5 Stars for beautiful postcards requiring First Class Postage in the USA
The postcard designs are quite nice and reflect well the winter season, and the card stock is thick and high quality. Definitely worth buying and an excellent value for the price. One small quibble, however. The previous reviews don't mention that the postcards measure 4 7/8" x 6 7/8", a really nice size for coloring to be sure, but a non-standard (oversized) postcard for mailing within the USA. So, if you are going to mail one, you'll either need to pay First Class (letter rate) postage, or be willing to trim the card to a max. of 4 1/4" x 6.0" in order to send it at the lower post card rate.

Whimsical art that is a joy to color, perfect for holiday cards!
I reviewed Daydreams by this artist and everything I said about that book applies to this one, so I’ve included it here.I love love love this artist! Let me explain why.Art: These postcards are fantastically whimsical. There’s a clear theme but enough variation that each piece is unique and enjoyable. I really like the combination of animals and magical, whimsical items like keys or crowns.Coloring: I’m only buying the postcard versions of these books, because the regular books look like they have art on both sides. These postcards are detailed, but not so tiny that it hurts to do (at least most of the time). I know a lot of artists do postcards by just shrinking their art, which isn’t very considerate of colorers’ eyes and hands. There are definitely small details in these, but not nearly as bad as the Lost Ocean postcards by Johanna Basford - those give me hand cramps! I love how thick the card stock is - this is one of the only coloring books I can do the indirect method with tombow blender markers (putting tombow marker ink onto a plastic palette and then picking it up with a clear blender brush) without worrying about the page pilling up. You need thicker, less porous paper, since it takes more strokes to get it to look just how you want. I have to be really careful of this in other books, but this postcard book is made for that method. The colors look so rich on the paper, too. Also as I mentioned the paper isn’t porous at all, so my markers last longer - a little ink goes a long way.Bottom line: One of the best coloring books I’ve bought. I also love that they’re great for holiday cards (if you can bear to part with them!)

A+ Would definitely buy again.
The card stock is of a good weight for mailing. Lovely non-holiday specific winter designs are clearly detailed and easy to color. They seem easier to color than the average 'adult' coloring book out there. Detailed enough to be interesting, but not to the extent that they're hard to color. Smaller pages than your average coloring book means that you finish a page sooner, giving you that sense of accomplishment. I'm tempted to buy a second one and substitute hand-colored post cards for all of my holiday card giving.

Not to be missed by coloring enthusiasts
Fabulous winter-Christmas designs by Hanna. Postcards are printed one sided, on thick, nice cardstock with enough tooth for layering, and also perfect for watercolor pencils and/or markers, but I would recommend to take each postcard out for coloring, though, specially when using colored pencils, so as to have a "firmer" surface in which to color and avoid "indentations" caused by pencil pressure. The designs are very nicely detailed, but no so much so as to make coloring difficult. I am really enjoying coloring this book.

I love this coloring book!
I love to color but sometimes coloring books are to big & I would like something smaller. This was the perfect book. It has nice pages to color & they are the right size that you could use them to make a greeting card with too. I love all the pictures in the book. If you like to color, you will love this book!

Stunning, unique motifs and excellent quality
I must admit, I was a bit reluctant to purchase the postcard book, because one reviewer mentioned, that the images are very intricate.Of course, due to the smaller size, postcards can always be a bit more daunting when you have to colour in details. My eyes are fine, I only wear glasses for reading, but when the images are too delicate it stresses me and keeping calm is out the window.I’m so glad Hanna Karlzon’s lovely Scandinavian illustrations won me over and I went ahead and bought Winter Dreams, because it’s absolutely stunning and the cards are of excellent quality and a joy to colour. The postcards are thick enough to dare sending them without an envelope and I’ve started to use my gel pens for effect, the gold and silver and glitter ones, and now I’m really looking forward to send them to friends and family as the result is just gorgeous.

Beautifully made little book of lovely designs
I bought this book as a Christmas present & feel the idea of individual postcards is a lovely idea. Images are on one side only for this purpose & the paper is a super-thick card, which has the necessary "tooth" to take a good amount of colour. It is only an A5 size (postcard size I suppose) & because of that, I thought the price I paid was rather a lot & was particularly annoyed when soon after purchase I found this dropped by nearly 30%!! Still a lovely gift if you know someone who loves to colour as it presents many opportunities to create some wonderful Christmastide mementoes that you can actually gift to those who would appreciate them.

Great For Glitter Pens
Like a previous reviewer, I was not really convinced that postcards would be for me due to the size meaning there was bound to be very intricate work. I am so glad I decided to bite the bullet and try them. Of course, being postcards it is expected that paper quality would be good and it is. The pictures are beautiful and the Christmas decorations cry out for bold daring colours - a great excuse to get out my metallic and glitter pens. Cant wait to get started on these cards and I will certainly order postcard size again.

great little book
This is a lovely book , great for taking with you on Holiday , lovely thick paper , I have used felt tip with no bleed through , and would imagine watercolour would be good too, beautiful illustrations too , and unlike another postcard book I own the illustrations are meant to be postcards, they arent just larger images that have been reduced to postcard size , making it near impossible to colour .
