Breaks easily but good for very small writing

I find this to be the best quality leads I have purchased and I am including “brand” names such as Pentel and Staedtler. I do not like the leads too hard where they “squeak” nor too soft where they smear and wear too quickly. This are fantastic refills for your 1.3mm mech pencil!

I called and went to Office Depot to buy the lead they suggested (B), bought it gladly. Upon using the lead (2B), I find purchased from Amazon, the lead IS softer and darker; now I can read the notes that I write in my notebook and/or Post-It notes, and telephone directory. I bought 2 sizes and they both seriously help me. Thank you, Karen

I purchased the 2mm lead. I use it in place of a carpenter's pencil in a manufacturing environment, so my review may not cover most common applications. The lead sharpens to a fine point which is critical for percision marking. I chose 2mm for the stronger lead, but the trade off is I have to sharpen more often to maintain the fine point. That is a result of my lead choice though, not the lead quality. With this price you can't go wrong.

Product description clearly states several times that you are supposed to get 4 packets of 24 black leads (total 96 black leads) and 6 coloured ones.Only 3 packets arrived (total 72 black leads) and 6 coloured ones.
