What type of magnets are used in these pups?

I think they are ceramic magnets but i'm not sure.

Are these for les paul guitars only? i have a fender that has a pickguard with rectangular cutouts.

I used mine on a 3/4 LP that I built myself. Heres a video of it with these in place. I would think that another style that had rectangle openings, it should fit. I have a full size LP with a pick guard and It would fit in that also.

is there there a wiring diagram for this to go with the frequently bought electronic controls its a 3 way switch single vol single tone?

It does not come with any. But are easily found with a browser search.

Are these considered ‘covered’ or ‘uncovered humbuckers’?

I would consider them covered. Simply because there are pieces of wood over the pickup. But the adjustable hex slugs are not, so adjustment to the poles can easily be made.
