It probably wouldn't have been that bad if sturdy materials than thin plastic was used to ...

This started out working really well but then after about 9 pear, the peeler broke off. It probably wouldn't have been that bad if sturdy materials than thin plastic was used to hold it together. Returned the product and got a refund. Hopefully others have more luck with this than me.

Cheap version of great tool.

This is a cheap version of a good effective concept. The blade attachment isn't sturdy enough for fruits with skin (apples, pears, etc.), medium to hard vegetables (carrots, parsnips), vegetable with skin (cucumber), or even potatoes as the product image suggestions. It did a good job with daikons.
