This blanket was a hit with my 11 year old niece! When it first arrived, it was in a shrink wrapped plastic bag and totally unrecognizable as much of anything. When the plastic was removed, the blanket was pretty scrunched up. I put it in the dryer with a wet towel and when it came out, was in perfect condition. The blanket was fluffed up, all wrinkles gone, and felt soft and luxurious. My niece opened her birthday gift last weekend and absolutely loved it! I bought the adult size and while it was on the longer side for her, it really was just right. The knit appeared to be done by hand and the stitching closing the bottom where the feet go and which create the fanning of the tail were secure and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this!

Bought this blanket as a gift for little girl who is mermaid obsessed. I'm very pleased with the quality, color and durability however I was disappointed with the packaging. It comes vacuum sealed- I had to open it to make sure the product looked okay before gifting it. I wish it would come in a ziplock-style bag or with tags so it does look new and is giftable. Overall I know she will love it- the teal is a beautiful color and it is long with an opening up at the top- I can also fit into it at 5'3. I would recommend this to any mermaid enthusiast!

This was fun for a white elephant gift, but as far as giftable, it came in a sealed plastic bag - no tags or any identification as to manufacturer. I felt like I was giving a used gift. Thankfully, it didn't smell bad as some of the mermaid blanket reviews have mentioned. The 9 year old that ended up with it loved it.

Love it! I researched many blankets before settling on this one, and I'm so glad I did. Very soft and warm. I'm picky about the texture of fabrics, I was afraid of getting something that felt cheap or like yarn; this is material doesn't feel like either of those. No weird smells either, so you can cuddle up as soon as it arrives. Small opening at the bottom, but not enough to be able to put your legs through and walk around, yet small enough to keep your feet warm. Also, I'm 5'2" and I can wear this blanket and cover most of my arms at the same time, but it doesn't reach my shoulders.

I purchased this for my niece and she loves it. She is very girly and love mermaid things. The material of this blanket is very soft and silky. You can wear it in any season because the material is not too thick or too thin. You can wash this in the washing machine but be careful of loose zippers because it will catch on mermaid material. It is best to wash with other blankets of like color. I am pleased with my purchase.

I LOVE this blanket!!! It's the perfect amount of warmth and it is so soft. I was expecting it to be scratchy but not at all. When i got it in the package it did smell musty. I put it in the wash on delicate and 30 min dryer and the smell is gone. I am 5ft 6in and I can pull the blanket up to my shoulders. I will be getting another one.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Quality wise I think it will hold up, just like any other hand stitched product you just have to be careful. It did have a smell to it and I had to air it out. It is a little on the small size, but this was ordered for an 8 year old and should be fine. I would not recommend this for teens or adults.

A little scratchy, but super warm. Pretty spacious, but I wouldn’t recommend sleeping in since it’s harder to get out of than a regular blanket— maybe for reading or relaxing. Great gift, especially for $14.
