Blue Mountain is the best
I have been drinking Blue Mountain Coffee off and on for the last 5 years, switching it with Kona (I am a true coffee snob...). After the local coffee shop here decided not to carry Blue Mtn anymore- I decided to give this a try- I was not disappointed at all. This coffee is true Blue mountain, tastes as good if not better than the fresh roasted coffee from my local roaster, and gives that extra jolt of caffeine I have come to love from this premium bean.

The Good Stuff
This is my favorite coffee. I thought coffee was coffee until I tried Blue Mountain. I thought it was just because everything is better on vacation, but it didn't disappoint at home. Made in a french press, it's smooth and doesn't even need cream or sugar (coming from a PSL lover, that's really saying something!) I normally don't drink coffee because it upsets my stomach, but I can drink this freely. I tried Jamaican High Mountain coffee (don't waste your money), and can't wait until I use it up and can buy my Blue Mountain again!!!!

Gag Me
I'll say for starters that I am a caffeine junkie. I have been a coffee drinker since I was a very, very young lad. For the past fifteen years I have only purchased whole beans and for the past five years I have used a French press. I've varied my purchases so that I can enjoy different blends and coffees from different continents, coffees that fulfill my morning quest for the perfect cup. I had never tried Jamaica Blue Mountain (having read lots of tales of its great taste and quality production) I wanted to try a small amount before I would shell out close to $40 for a pound of this sought-after bean. I am sure glad I just got a 4oz portion. This is the worst - absolutely bar none (and that includes chow-hall coffee from my military service years) The taste is flatter than flat, the aroma is non-existent - in short it is awful. Thinking I might have somehow done something wrong I brewed another batch in the drip-coffee machine rather than the French press. It was just as blah. Maybe I got a bad batch but for sure I will quickly return to my old faithful Yirgercheffe. As The Who sang "We won't get fooled again!"

I've never seen the Blue Mountains
I have never seen the blue mountains so i can not rightly say for a fact, "yes this is the real deal." However after reading about this famous coffee i decided to try it for myself. initially i was a little skeptical about paying that much for coffee i had never had before, but i decided to roll the dice anyways. im pretty sure i got burned the first time around when i went out on my own, but i gave it one more try and came to amazon this time, I ordered 1 lbs of the wallenford whole bean, it arrived within a week (im on the west coast)and i put it in the burr grinder and then into the french press. I'm thinking this has to be the real thing because it fits the profile on everything i've read. it is very smooth, rich, low acidity and almost no bitterness. does this mean a weaker coffee? at first sip i thought it may, but it most certainly did not, it was so good i had a second cup and felt like i had had an espresso shortly there after. seem to fit the profile and it is soooo goood! me and my wife love it! we will be ordering more for sure. and i love the little burlap sack it comes in, too cool!

Best coffee ever?
Due to my lifestyle and my occupation, I drink more coffee than water. I've tried everything in the stores, and have had mixed experiences. My dad kept going on and on about Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, so I decided to give it a shot. Ordered one bag in January, and it was good enough to warrant me ordering another back this month. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. It isn't bitter, very smooth and clean. Excellent kick, too. I just wish I had enough on-hand to have a pot of it ready every day. DEFINITELY ordering more in the future, of this brand specifically.

Wow!
This is without a doubt the smoothest coffee I have ever tasted. I couldn't detect even one hint of bitterness. It is, however, by its nature a very light coffee, so if you are looking for a dark and bold roast for say, espresso, you should look elsewhere, for an Ethiopian or something like it. I ordered it from the marketplace seller Aberdeen, with fulfillment by Amazon. It arrived freshly roasted and vacuum sealed. This is definitely the real deal! Beware of the imitation blends, that while are fine coffees, cannot even approach this level. Costing almost as much, they are quite a rip off! If it's from one of the Jamaica based Estates (i.e. Wallenford, Mavis Bank, etc.) then it's real.

Taste of Jamaica
Most affordable price I could find on Amazon for 1 pound bag. It tastes like I remember it in Jamaica but must make sure that you grind well and use a generous amount for strong, rich, low acid coffee. I use a French Press and it works well.

Love it!
I've tried a few others from Jamaica... All claiming to be from acidic blue mountains. But quite honestly the closest I've had too sitting on the beach sipping that first cup and fell in love. The only thing that's missing, is the fresh Jamaican air. 😊

j'ai vus un reportage sur ce café j'ai donc eu envie d'y gouter! très bon café mais chère pour 450 grammes! pas sûr d'en commander un autre a part si le prix baisse

I had heard good things about this coffee before trying for myself. I don’t really like black coffee but this is so smooth nothing else is needed. Definitely a game changer when it comes to quality coffee

I've been meaning to try this legendary coffee for a long time now, so when I saw it available at a sizeable discount, I let my resistance slip and ordered a bag. When opened, the aroma wasn't quite as intense as I've experienced with other coffees; slightly nutty, perhaps. Upon grinding, a fruity chocolate flavour came to the fore. So to the cup... It's quite an unusual coffee in that there is very little bitter side to the experience - it's also extremely smooth on the tongue, with very delicate tones of toasty sweetness and floral nuttiness. Despite this lightness, it doesn't taste weak - there's no way this is a decaf (I had terrible insomnia the one time I drank it late at night). There's a great balance to the taste, with no aspect taking too much of the attention; this is a conservative coffee in a way - I was expecting to be blown away by it (considering how much more expensive it is than normal), but having had a few cups now, I see that what differentiates it from other coffee is (apart from the price) the *absence* of possible offensive factors such as bitterness, acidity or roughness; what you're left with is coffee with those veils lifted - a very delicate, sweet, complex and (above all), balanced experience. Inoffensive; safe for granny. Is it worth the money? Well, that depends upon how much money you have - I'm going to try a blind tasting out on a few friends this weekend, so we'll see if they can identify it (I don't think they will). I don't think the difference in taste merits the steep price, but it makes an interesting test for the taste buds. I still prefer Barbera Maghetto Double Ground Coffee Blend 500 g - sacrilege, eh?

We had a tour around the blue mountain when on holiday in Jamaica. I've never really been a coffee drinker most coffee I find leave a bitter after taste. The guide suggested we try a black coffee without sugar, so we watch him prepare one and sat down with another couple to drink while at taking about coffee and cricket. This is the second time we have brought blue mountain coffee since our holiday, yes it's expensive compared to supermarket coffee but in my little world it's worth it. I still only drink coffee occasionally, maybe once or twice a week. The best advice I can give, was given to us by the guide is when you open the bag is to only use the amount of beans required to your coffee and leave the remainder in the pack then place in a sealed container and leave in the fridge. We found it keeps it's favour etc, our previous bag lasted roundabout 7 months.

I’ve had blue mountain coffee in the past and this is not what I was expecting at all! Thoroughly disappointed, save yourself the money and don’t buy this. Bought as a gift and while he was grateful because he knows blue mountain and how much it costs, I tried the coffee and it’s super Smokey, just tastes like ash, nothing like the authentic blue mountain coffee I’ve tried before! No undertones, just smoke and ash flavour.
