House on the Prairie for a Small Family
This is Truly a Great Tent in terms of Material, Construction and Space!!I've spent LOTS of time doing my HW- searching for a tent that's worthy of a three season tent (looks like it can handle a good amount of snow too), budget friendly (other tents I looked at go for at least double or triple the $ with even lower quality and protection), fitting at least 4 people (will fit 5 if they're petite and short like our family--- 4 across and 1 by the heads but still have a good amount of space left!); having a great weight-to-size ratio (not comparing to the ULTRALight snobby tents), and providing 2 big vestibules and doors. And relatively appealing in color! Looks like a lot to ask for but this tent Rocks in all those aspects! The bathtube floor is relatively thick but still light weight, but I think I'll try to use a footprint or beach "blanket" to prolong its life.Note a PROBLEM and Easy FIX: like some other reviews mentioned, the metal ends of the short bar providing head space in the middle will extend and poke into the rainfly zippers, which might cause some abrasion and longevity issue down the road. To remedy this, I ended up untied the shock chords and grinded away a total of 5 inches (2.5in each end if you're compulsively and obsessively want a symmetrical looking pole and Voila!!! The great thing about this cutaway is that it RELEASES a great amount of tension for the mosquito net to cling to, providing the tent its longevity. Now the pole only extends its ends before the rainfly zipper starts.Other Consideration: I thought of buying a MoutainSmith Cottonwood 6P tent because of its larger size. Larger also means heavier. But after receiving this Luxe Tempo, I am convinced that I don't need to carry more extra weight than needed to. This tent is sturdy and pretty enough to be a house on the prairie for us! Happy Adventures!

Sturdy tent, easy to carry
The tent comes with a water proof travel bag and it is a reasonable weight and size. It is easy to hang on my backpack. Assembly is fairly easy but the instructions are a little bit confusing. I like the design of the foldable poles with the rope inside, so that I don’t need to worry about losing them. Like the idea of having an extra short pole that can make the roof of the tent taller and wider. Inner tent also contains several user friendly features, such as a top mesh to store the tent bag, corner bags for small accessories, a water proof tent floor, and a double sided zipper for the door. Rain cover is also made well, and I like the two vents on the top for airflow. This is a nice camping tent and I am looking forward to using for our family camping trips in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Maybe I should of tried Walmart
Okay for the price. It's a good starter tent. We used it for a backpacking trip so we carried it for 22 miles with no weight problems. You NEED something underneath it. The floor is not durable.UPDATED:I've had for a year now. I've had some problems with the zippers coming undone and the stitching for the pole tie ins has come apart. Had to get a new tent for this season.

It's a true 4 person backpacking tent folks...
The 4 person tent is a steal...I have been backpacking and climbing for over 40 years and have been through 7 tents....Eureka, Alps Mountaineering, Walrus, REI, just to name a few, and this tent seems to be right up there with them in initial quality....time will tell....I will update this review in a few weeks when I take it up on Mt. St. Helens for a snow camping/snowshoeing trip. Plusses in the tent's favor...four sleeping pads fit nicely across the floor with about 2 inches to spare in between each mat. I'm over 6 feet tall and weigh over 200 pounds, and it looks like it would fit 4 of me comfortably...for people who are not climbers or backpackers, you just don't understand the importance of the weight to size ratio....this tent has it...split up into tent, poles, fly, and footprint, 3 or 4 people would turn this 7 lb shelter's weight into a feather! Also, the fly and floor have double the waterproofing of the majority of the tents out there. A negative, possibly, is the ridge pole above the two doors....I'd read where one reviewer trimmed off 2.5 inches off each end so they wouldn't butt up against the top of the zippers on the vestibules...I did my own measuring, and did the same...perfect!!! So...soon, the true test in the mountains, snow and all, and I will update! I'm giving it 5 stars for initial quality, size, weight, and price point.....True test....set up in snow storm in Mt. St. Helens....4 of us and one small dog, tons of room. Great ventilation....negatives were the chicken tooth zippers are clogged up by ice and snow too easily, plus the pockets in the 4 corners are angled in such a way that things fall out way to easily....an easy fix for the tent makers if they got to it! Still, a great 3 season tent for 4.....it handled 3 inches of fresh snow very well, so it gets another 1/2 season rating from me! Update.... still my family's go to winter snow camping tent! Only wish it had coverings for the doors!

Great deal and lightweight for the money
We use this backpacking with our family of 5 in the mountains of Montana. Love the vestibule, stayed dry inside through long rain storms. Very pleasantly surprised for the money!

Poor pole design
This tent would be adequate if not for a design flaw where the top spreader pole and top outer tent meet. The ends of the pole stick out and contact the fabric with no sleeve or reinforced pocket to prevent them from poking through the fabric or sticking out where the door zipper opens when fully unzipped.

Pretty good, especially for the price
I like the tent. It is easy to set up and take down. I like the shape of the tent overall and it seems like the main structure should last well. However, it didn't come with enough metal steaks for the applications mentioned in the tent's included instructions and a few of the string zipper tabs broke off after just one camping trip. The pockets inside are convenient, but the angle of them make anything slightly heavy, like a small flashligh, fall out too easily.
