This is just a cover not the actual pillows?

Yes, just covers. You’ll need to buy inserts. Go a size bigger on the inserts so that it fills out the cover. We did 18 x 18 covers and 20 x 20 pillow inserts.

I have the pale pink and did not notice any shedding

Looking for bright white. Are these a bright white or off-white...?

They are bright white and beautiful

How durable are these? I have 2 small children, a dog and cat and need something that will hold up to multiple washings

I don't think they would last long around sharp cat claws and dog teeth. They are well made but the material is thin. I have washed them several times, separately on delicate cycle and air dry, and they still look new. They are very nice and are holding up well in a pet free household.
