Chicken Mini Fillet 450g

This is a straightforward fresh poultry product that sits firmly in the “everyday cooking convenience” category rather than anything premium or heavily processed. The mini fillets are fairly small and uneven in shape, which is normal for this type of cut. They are easy to portion out, and the pack size works well for multiple meals rather than a single use. When cooked, they tend to stay reasonably tender if not overdone, but like most lean chicken breast products, they can dry out quickly if left even slightly too long in the pan or oven. In terms of texture, they are quite clean when handled raw, with minimal trimming required. Once cooked properly, they have a firm bite without being tough, although consistency can vary slightly between pieces depending on thickness. Flavour wise, they are very neutral, which is expected for plain chicken breast. That actually makes them versatile rather than a drawback, as they take on seasoning, marinades, and sauces very well. On their own they are not particularly interesting, but that is not really the purpose of a product like this. I have mainly used them for quick meals such as stir fries, wraps, and simple pan fried dishes. They work best when cooked hot and fast, then finished with sauce or seasoning rather than being eaten plain. One thing worth noting is that they do reduce slightly in size during cooking, which is typical for lean chicken. This is something to account for when portioning meals, especially if you are planning multiple servings. From a value for money perspective, it sits in a fairly standard supermarket price range for fresh chicken breast. The main value comes from convenience and prep time saved, rather than any noticeable difference in quality compared to similar own label products. It feels reasonable for regular use, especially if you are batch cooking or building meals around it. Overall, it is a reliable, no frills chicken option. It does not stand out in any particular way, but it performs consistently when cooked properly and works well as a base protein for a wide range of simple meals.

Love this chicken! I prefer this to other leading supermarkets, though admittedly I am giving this 5 stars due.to only buying this when 3 for 10 offer is on
