My thumb measures slightly over 1 " Would L be to big

My thumb is almost 2 inches long and about 2.5 inches in diameter. I have pretty small (but fat) thumbs for an adult. I use a medium. They tend to run rather small so the medium is slightly tight but not uncomfortably so. I use these all the time and love them.

What size would I get for an alto clarinet?

The Nubs sizing is determined by measuring the width of your thumb knuckle and comparing it to the size chart. If you are on the line between sizes please size up. The Nubs work best for all woodwind instruments.

I want to use these for archery in which i use a thumb draw. kt tape works well until it sweats off in and i can't find anything i like. opinions?

If you are using tape already, then YES nubs will be fantastic to use. We are the solution for replacing a tape. Nubs don't sweat off, they are reusable and washable. Hope they work out and let us know for some feedback when you do.

My thumb measures slightly slightly over an inch What size should I get

I found the measuring guide NUBS provides on the Amazon listing to be accurate. So, if your thumb is just over an inch that means it is over 25mm. According to the measuring guide you would want a size large. I would go with the large.
