I have to use tamper evident lacquer as part of my job to make sure various adjustments are not changed after I set them for warranty purposes, so I figured I would give this stuff a try to see if it was a viable alternative to the expensive brand name stuff I already have. I did not use this in production of course, but did some testing on non-production parts, and I have to say I am impressed.I first tried a drop on some Philips screw heads. The stuff dries reasonably quickly, about the same as the other stuff I already use. Once dry it seems to be stable and stays in place with normal handling. Once you use a screwdriver to try to turn the screw, it flakes off and it is very obvious when a tool has been used to turn the screw.I also tried using it on the shaft of a potentiometer and the result was pretty much the same, once dried, if you adjust the pot, the lacquer cracks and pops off and it's obvious that the pot had been adjusted.I can recommend this product if you need a tamper evident indicator lacquer to show evidence of tampering with factory adjusted settings such as screws on covers or potentiometer settings.
