Ceramic Pot Digital Rice Cooker FD20D 2L, Baby Porridge, Soup maker

I’m in process of eliminating all the plastic, nonstick garbage cookware from my kitchen- what’s the point of healthy eating if I’m consuming chemicals peeling off my cookware, which eventually happens with every rice cooker I’ve ever used. I’m no expert on rice cookers and never spent more than 30 dollars on one. I spent a good amount of time searching for a rice cooker with either a stainless steel, or ceramic pot, and nearly caved in to buying an Instapot due to the lack of options. The few ceramic rice cookers I did find, had reviewers mentioning “chemical smells and tastes”- no bueno for me. This particular cooker has clean tasting, perfectly cooked rice- no chemical smells and it’s easy to clean. The ceramic does take longer to heat up, but it also retains heat longer. I can use metal utensils without worrying about scratching chemical films into the food, and it’s simple to use. My only complaint is the utensil holder, which is a great concept, but poorly executed- easily fixed with some superglue. Overall, excellent purchase.

I like this rice cooker because the top inner lid is removable to clean, and it has many functions. I have used it mainly for rice and I found out the best way to turn off the cooker once it beeps to tell you the rice is done. I personally don’t like to have the keep warm function on since that will leave a hard bottom. I have tried the clay pot rice once but I put too much meat in so the rice wasn’t cooked completely, I have yet to try this function one more time to see how it turns out. The porridge function is good too. So far I like this ceramic rice cooker but don’t know how long it will last. I will not buy Teflon inner pots anymore because they get scratched no matter how careful I use them. The last ceramic rice cooker didn’t have a removable inner lid so I’m not comfortable just wiping the lid after each use, that’s why I buy this one even though the old one is still in good condition.

The Tianji Ceramic Pot Digital Rice Cooker gets plenty of use. We mainly use the cooker for oatmeal and rice. You will have to experiment with water and time if you tend to cook white, brown, and grain rice. Steel cut oatmeal gets better the longer you let it sit once done. The main problem with this cooker occurs when making oatmeal since it boils over the bowl and ends up in areas tough to clean.

This rice cooker would not work for us. It would only cook for 15 minutes at a time. Cant cook rice in 15 minutes. I did like the idea of cooking rice in a ceramic bowl.

I am so disappointed with this purchase. This rice cooker just not a good fit for me. I like to cook my rice in the morning, and eat it throughout the day. There is no clock on this cooker, so you have to set the preset manually every time you use it, which for me is every day. The rice comes out fluffy if you eat it right away, but by dinner, it burns to the bottom of the pot and is dried out. I also can't figure out how to make the warm function work more than a few hours before it turns off. The inner pot is hard to clean if you use the keep warm function on for more than a couple hours. Also, because there is no backup battery, I have had no rice for lunch twice in less than a month because I live in an area prone to power flickers. Once the power cuts out, the timer settings are lost. Anyhoo, I am giving this to my niece, who has different usage expectation, and I have already purchased a Cuckoo rice cooker that does have a battery backup.

Was taking a gamble on this since it had few reviews when I looked at it. Turns out it's perfect for a two-person household. The unit itself is adorable. Looks like a little pig or something. Small footprint on the countertop which was important; most other microms are fairly long. Have used it to cook rice and porridge so far. Haven't tried the other settings. Rice comes out perfect whether it's long grain or sushi-style short grain. I use the measurements, my mom eyeballs it; doesn't make a difference in the end product. Nice, fluffy rice either way. Cleaning is a breeze since nothing sticks to the pot. The inner lid comes off for cleaning, too. Trying to think of a negative but really haven't found one so far. Great alternative for someone looking for a smaller Zojirushi-quality cooker.

Overall a decent rice cooker: rice almost doesn’t stick to the pot, and it’s chemical free. However, the lid starts to smell after couple uses. I had to take out the rubber ring to clean it thoroughly.

i like it because its small unit and and it is easy to operate.
