You shouldn't need a level shifter. Powering via the 3.3V pin of my Uno has worked great

Q: What is the tempature range?

Pressure: 300...1100 hPaTemperature: -40…85°C

Q: I2cdetect does not detect my device after wiring this to my pi. do i just wire (scl to scl, etc) directly, or am i missing something?

You need to run raspi-config, go into the advanced menu and then under I2C you need to both enable it and load the kernel module. A reboot is then required. This page has some additional info https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/raspberry-pi-spi-and-i2c-tutorial
